Hey all. Sorry for the long wait between entries. Despite my lack of employment the last month has proved to be rather busy for me, between drama, family stuff, side work, and looking for new work. Anyway, it’s that time of year again, Christmas.

Can’t say I’m a huge holiday fan, but when there is actually someone I want to give something too It’s a little more fun. I only have 7 people to shop for this year so not to busy I suppose. I have been managing to squeeze in quite a bit of anime which has made me pretty happy, and seen some epicness that I wouldn’t have expected or just had neglected! Luckyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!

First off, a little update on what I have been watching in about 5 sentences. Index has been kinda boring and is for when I have nothing else to watch, and I’ve practically dropped Nodame Paris, though I’m sure I’ll get around to it at some point. Chaos;HEAd is the game, but shittier without the good parts (P.S. Chris if you read this I would love to get a hold of a physical copy of the Chaos;HEAd VN haha). Clannad After Story is still slowly eating away at my soul with each episode. Toradora is getting dipping in more and more seriousness as its progressing between the funny moments (though I like this change), and Allison and Lillia only has one episode left to sub, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PEOPLE LET ME FINISH IT! Ef-A Tale of Melodies made me want to “an hero” with the most recent episode (10), that was just…damn.

As for “older” stuff I’ve been catching up on. I watched Gatekeepers and Gatekeepers 21, and I must say, Gatekeepers is awesome! Gatekeepers 21, the second season OVA was shit though, and totally ruined the rest of it…however, seasons 1 was great! At first it seems lame as shit, but the writers seem to have a sense of humor and really make it enjoyable to watch. The weird ass characters really grow on you and its just a fun show to watch…ooooo so intense!

A new classic so to speak, and only a year or so late here in watching it, is Gurren Lagann. Tallon mentioned it was a good show, and I watched the fansubs when it released long ago for the first 8 eps or something and dropped it after that. Turn’s out I gave up when things get even more awesome. This is one of the most incredibly gar filled shows I have ever seen. Gainax hasn’t failed me like I thought…shit…just taught me that my faith should be more unwavering! If you haven’t seen it, its still available out there, and the DVD’s (sub only and/or dub) are all available stateside now. Fuckin incredible stuff.

Currently aside from what I mentioned earlier, I’m watching Super Gals! Season 2, attempting to push through Ultramaniac, and finished another show called Human Crossing (Human Scramble), which as retarded as it looked and sounded, was actually not a bad watch and proved to be amusing and entertaining! Can’t beat it at like 2 bucks a DVD (thanks for that sale RightStuf!).

Well Merry Christmas and all that shit, or whatever holiday it is you happen to celebrate. All I really want for Xmas is a Japanese Xbox360 and IdolM@ster (recent obcession with that for some reason). Maybe it would help with my attempt to learn some Japanese. I will hopefully find the motivation to write about one of these shows that I’m in love with more in depth soon. I’m thinking there will be a lot of talking about Allison and Lillia once I get my hands on the final episode! Till next time, here is a great quote that I have seen in several anime now. “Miracles don’t exist in this world. There are only inevitabilites, coincidences, and what you’re going to do. That’s it.”
